Guiyang department inspects State-owned company's development

Guizhou Commercial Storage and Transportation Group, located in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, passed the inspection of the State-owned assets supervision and administration commission of Guiyang (SASAC of Guiyang) on Oct 27.

As a sizeable State-owned enterprise dealing with comprehensive trade logistics, the group plays a significant role in local trade and logistics and participates in constructing the Belt and Road Initiative and the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

As a logistics hub in the New International Land-Sea Trade corridor, Guiyang is linked with Fangchenggang, a port city in South China's Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region and Southwest China's nearest city to the border and the sea.

The transport group conceived the combined construction of two logistics parks in Guiyang and Fangchenggang and pushed forward its first-phase establishment of an ASEAN cold-chain distribution center in Guiyang.

The distribution center has sold more than 2,000 frozen seafood products and purchased 260 metric tons of products this year, with expected sales income hitting 10 million yuan ($1.49 million).

The group also possesses a 20,000-square-meter container yard, which facilitates the long-term partnership with Fangchenggang and Qinzhou in Guangxi. Until now, it has handled 2,000 containers with a business income of more than 40 million yuan.

The inspection team also held a meeting to learn about the group's overall operating conditions, liquefied natural gas cold-chain project and the logistics parks in Guiyang and Fangchenggang.

The investigation highlighted the group's strengths and shortcomings and helped lay out its future moves. It will continue to import products from ASEAN, Europe and Latin America while exporting Guizhou's featured products to the world.
