Guiyang Urban Rail Transit Group Co Ltd has accomplished continuous development during the first half of this year, whilst simultaneously undertaking epidemic prevention and control work.
Various projects have been proceeding smoothly. For example, Line 2 Phase I and Phase II and Line 3 Phase I are all currently under construction, utilizing 14,639 workers.
In the first half of the year, the total passenger volume of Guiyang Metro Line 1 reached 12.82 million, with approximately 76,300 daily riders (the average daily passenger volume before the epidemic was 138,700).
The per capita ticket fare was 3.78 yuan (55 cents). It has made a total of 40,187 trips, including 34,550 that carried passengers, with a train punctuality rate of 99.9 percent.
To smoothly and safely continue its operations, Guiyang Urban Rail Transit Group has distributed anti-epidemic materials including protective masks, hand sanitizer, disinfectant alcohol, and handheld infrared thermometers to front-line employees, according to their actual needs.
Employees are required to wear masks at work. If someone on duty has symptoms such as fever or a dry cough, they should immediately go for medical examination and report it to leaders, according to the procedures. When that happens, other staff members are arranged to fill the vacancy, with a timely adjustment to the work schedule, to ensure normal operations.
At the same time, Guiyang Urban Rail Transit Group regularly disinfected various facilities and equipment on rail transit Line 1, and dispatched more cleaning staff members to ensure each passenger-only subway car was disinfected every time it started a new trip. The strong ventilation system was activated and was used regularly to move air within train cars efficiently, ensuring a good environment for passengers.
Close attention was paid to the passenger flow on Line 1 after work resumed in the city, and related data was analyzed when designing the passenger flow control emergency plan. The plan became effective during peak passenger flow and when there was a small increase in passenger flow, and it responded by adding passenger trains in time to avoid crowds.
Staff members were deployed to ask all passengers entering Line 1 to scan the Guizhou health code or fill in real-name registration travel information forms, and to measure their body temperature. Isolation areas were set aside to accommodate passengers with suspected symptoms such as fever and dry cough. They were well-treated according to relevant epidemic prevention requirements and had their information immediately reported to relevant units.
