Tianhetan scenic area in Guiyang city, Southwest China's Guizhou province, is undergoing a series of improvements those intended to help it become a national-level vacation resort.
The State-owned assets supervision and administration commission of Guiyang has put forward the concept of "tourism + projects" in order to accelerate progress towards that goal.
Under the leadership of the commission, Guiyang Tourism & Culture Industry Investment Group Co Ltd has made great endeavors to combine the scenic area with its profound cultural background; elements of history, ethnic customs, local water culture, specialty food, and old Guiyang life have been spotlighted to enrich Tianhetan's cultural appeal.
All work has been done according to the standards and requirements of establishing a national-level tourist resort.
There are expected to be 80,000 tourists per day at Tianhetan, including 32,000 tourists in the core tourist area, making it eligible to become a national-level vacation resort.
The vision is that the development of Tianhetan scenic area will also benefit surrounding villages, whose development will in turn drive its growth.
