The State-owned assets supervision and administration commission of Guiyang (SASAC of Guiyang) held a symposium to discuss the integrated development and reform of State-owned enterprises (SOE) in Guiyang and Guian New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province on June 4.
Officials discussed the reorganization progress for the new area's two major SOEs. Local enterprises shared information about public transportation, water services, tourism and cultural attractions, rail transportation, agriculture, financing guarantees and big data.
Both the new area and enterprises attending the meeting were optimistic about their cooperation in the future.
In March, SASAC of Guiyang devised a work plan and implementation scheme after discussions with the administrative committee of the new area and local SOEs. The administration is playing an active role in promoting SOE reform in Guian.
Guiyang, the capital city of Guizhou, and Guian, a national-level new urban area in the province, will strengthen their coordination, improve communication and set up a task force to advance SOE reform.
Enterprises in Guiyang and the area will cooperate in several areas, including water services, public transportation, tourism and culture, rail transportation and big data, among others.
Equity investment and project cooperation are being encouraged to advance SOEs' reform and restructuring in the new area.
The two sides rolled out a cooperation plan at the end of June to speed up the coordinated development of Guiyang and Guian New Area and achieve win-win results for SOEs in the two places.
