Wu Shumei visits poor household in Shapo village

Wu Shumei, a member of the Party Committee and deputy chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Guiyang Municipal Government, visited a poverty-stricken family surnamed Wang in Shapo village, Xiuwen county of Guiyang city on May 13.

Staff from relevant enterprises and departments of the commission, and Shapo village committees and working group members took part in the visit.

Wu learned about the basic information, policy implementation, and housing condition of Wang and asked the village information about employment, income, and drinking water.

Prior to the visit, learning that Wang needed a ripper rooter and a lawn mower urgently for planting, Wu told Wang to purchase the machines himself first to ensure planting while coordinating with related companies to help solve the purchase fund.

During the visit, Wu brought 5,000 yuan ($701.57) of planting machine purchase money to Wang and sent him a consolation grant of 2,000 yuan, instructing him to purchase fertilizers, feed and corn according to needs and make full use of the fund in his breeding.

Wu also talked to Wang about broiler farming, encouraging him to have confidence in getting rid of poverty and living a well-off life.

Wang said he is very grateful for the help of the commission and will strive to live a better life by making use of various supportive policies.
